ABOUT VXO TOURING

 

VXO’s success in creating luxury touring experiences is centred around two key elements, knowledge and communication. Our knowledge has been fuelled through our many years of global travel, our understanding of fine dining and fine wine, and which hotels offer the coolest suites. Similarly, we have worked with PGA professionals on many of the finest golf courses, and we have also travelled a few air miles with our private jet partners.

The communication element is focussed on establishing a profile of our clients, the group dynamic, what the must see and do’s are, and how they would like their experience packaged. We then work together to tailor a luxury touring experience that ticks all the boxes, and a little more. It is the finer details that really make the difference. We tailor multi location Michelin Fine Dining tours by Private Jet in Asia, the USA, continental Europe and the UK. We host wine tours to Bordeaux in France, and to Tuscany and Sicily in Italy. Golfing tours are arranged in Scotland and Ireland, and we also host touring in Portugal, Dubai, and the USA.

We work with an excellent team and our colleagues understand the logistics and intricacies of multi centre touring which is critically important when every tour itinerary is tailored to deliver to a specific brief and expectation. We all love a challenge, and our appetite for knowledge never ceases, nor does our desire to work alongside the best in class in all we do. Our business partners share many of our values, innovation, integrity, confidentiality and discretion, and importantly they all have a real sense of what factors constitute and deliver service excellence.

WHO ARE WE?

  • Richard Muir

    Richard was born and raised in Scotland and spent thirty years in the corporate business sector based in London and Edinburgh and held senior operational and board positions in two multinational companies. He also ran a number of SME’s in the UK. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team and has a focus on growth, our business systems, processes and procedures. His career involved significant travel across the globe and combined with owning and managing Michelin and fine dining restaurants, and with his love of fine wine, these were the catalysts to developing our global Michelin fine dining tours, and exclusive wine touring in Europe. Richard is married with two grown up sons. He is lover of the outdoors, a keen walker on Scotland’s mountains and enjoys salmon fishing too. Not surprisingly, he also loves travel and eating out!

  • Ross Murray

    Ross is the youngest in the team, however his youthfulness hides a wealth of experience in exclusive concierge and elite travel to an ultra-high net worth clientele, and blue chip organisations around the world. He has worked in London and throughout Europe with many companies to develop unique portfolios of luxury indulgence.  Ross drives our creative thinking, product development and consumer engagement and with his legal hat on, he’s also useful at keeping us abreast of legislation, compliance, and leading on our contract negotiations. His encyclopaedic knowledge of private aviation led to our forming VXO Aviation, as a service to broker Jets and helicopters for both individuals and companies. Ross was brought up in Carnoustie Scotland and he enjoys travel, fine dining and Golf.

  • Craig Murray

    Craig was in the world of Scottish football during his early career and enjoyed success both domestically and in Europe. On retiring from the sporting world, he set up and managed his own consumer led businesses. For the past ten years, he has been involved in travel infrastructure and touring logistics. Managing the complexities of global, multi country and cross border travel is considerable and pivotal to our delivering a seamless experience. So, when we looked to creating our platform to offer Wine, Michelin and Golf tailored touring experiences, it was with Craigs knowledge and attention to detail that gave us the confidence in our ability to build end-to-end products, regardless of where in the world we started and finished. Craig is married with two grown up children. A keen walker, golfer and lover of all sport. He is also the Chair of a Scottish Charity
